ABOUT CITIZEN JANE

Citizen Jane was formed in 2010 by Natalie Jane Harvie.

After more than 20 years as a professional singer, Natalie decided she was getting a bit ‘long in the tooth’ to become the next big thing in pop music and began looking around for more sensible career choices. As luck would have it a director friend suggested street casting and so the Citizen Jane story began.

After a couple of years pounding the pavement and discovering a knack for, well, discovering interesting faces, Natalie decided to branch out and combine traditional casting with what she had learnt from street casting to create Citizen Jane.

Fast forward a couple of years and Citizen Jane now has a string of TVC credits to its name and a new studio in a converted barn in the backstreets of Redfern with a Casting Guild of Australia Award for ‘Best Casting in a TVC’ on the mantel.

But no woman is an island and in Citizen Jane’s case, Citizen Claire (aka Natalie’s right arm) and Citizen Gigi (full time office gun and part time denim enthusiast) round out the team and make for fun times on the odd occasion they actually have the time for Friday drinks.

Despite being relatively new to the casting scene, Citizen Jane has established itself as one of the go to agencies in Australia with a team of dedicated street casters around the country, a huge database of street cast talent as well as the will, know how and professionalism to find that un-findable person you need for your next job.
